Friends and Family of South Loop School, Inc (FFSLS), is a charitable 501(c)3 Corporation whose mission is to provide supplemental educational resources for South Loop Elementary School. Friends & Family is a volunteer organization and has no paid employees, so that 100% of contributions benefit South Loop Elementary School.
Our fundraising efforts play a key role in the success of our students as the resources decline every year. With the contributions from parents, friends, and local business owners, we are able to provide critically needed support for our students.
Facts about FFSLS :
South Loop Elementary School does not get discretionary funding from the Federal or State governments. Money raised through FFSLS is used to fill that gap by providing resources that our students and faculty would not have otherwise.
The FFSLS Board works closely with school leadership to identify annual goals for fundraising and the key areas of support, outside of general operations. The Board oversees the collection and distribution of funds raised on behalf of South Loop Elementary School. Funds distributed must align with annual our goals.
The needs of South Loop Elementary School (SLES) are always evolving, and so must the education it provides our students. Your generosity will give SLES the necessary fiscal strength and flexibility to address emerging priorities and leverage new opportunities.
Our classrooms need extra tools to help teachers effectively teach the school’s core curriculum. Your gift will be used to fund subscriptions and lesson books to support the curriculum.
